Unfortunately, they lost the code to make that compilation and it was ultimately cancelled. It was gonna be called Mega Man Mania and they would include all 5 Mega Man Game Boy games, but colorized. And like I said in a previous status post, in the 2000’s, during the releases of the Mega Man Anniversary Collection compilation games for the 6th generation of home consoles, there were also plans for another compilation, but for the Game Boy Advance. However, according to Kenji Inafune, these handheld games were gonna be outsourced by Minakuchi Engineering (except the second one, being developed by Japan System House), which would later develop Mega Man: Wily Wars and large portions of Mega Man X3. Capcom decided to launch Mega Man games into that system. But, in the same decade, a handheld console called the Nintendo Game Boy (or just the Game Boy) was also gaining popularity for being basically a portable NES. In the early 90’s the Mega Man games for the NES were some of the most popular games of the system.
